Hey there, fellow parents of adventurous boys! As a dad who’s been through his fair share of Disney trips, I’m beyond excited about the recent announcements from D23. Let me tell you, the future of Disney is looking brighter than ever for families like ours!
Walt Disney World
First off, let’s talk about Walt Disney World. Remember those nights when we’d hustle the kids to bed early just to wake them up for the Main Street Electrical Parade? Well, get ready for a new tradition! In summer 2025, “Disney Starlight” is coming to Magic Kingdom. Trust me, seeing your boys’ faces light up as characters from “Peter Pan,” “Encanto,” and “Frozen” parade by will be worth every minute of lost sleep.
For those of us with little speed demons, the new “Cars”-themed area in Frontierland is going to be a game-changer. Two new attractions? Yes, please! I can already picture my boys racing through the mountains and splashing through mud holes. It’s going to be impossible to get them to leave!
And speaking of impossible to leave, the new Villains Land at Magic Kingdom? Oh boy. If your kids are anything like mine and love a good dose of mischief, this is going to be their new favorite spot. Just imagine the photo ops with all those iconic baddies!
Animal Kingdom
Now, hold onto your hats because Animal Kingdom is getting some serious upgrades. Indiana Jones is swinging into action with a brand new experience, and – drumroll, please – we’re finally getting an “Encanto” ride! I don’t know about you, but I’m already practicing my “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” for the inevitable sing-alongs.
Epcot
Now, let’s talk about Epcot. If you’ve got a budding engineer in the family (and let’s face it, what boy doesn’t love building and designing things?), the reimagined Test Track is going to blow their minds. Opening in 2025, it’s going to showcase the past, present, and future of automotive innovation. I can already see my boys arguing over who gets to design the coolest car!
Hollywood Studios
And for all you Star Wars fans out there, Hollywood Studios has got something special brewing. A new mission featuring Mando and Grogu is coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in 2026. I don’t know about you, but my boys haven’t stopped talking about The Mandalorian since it first aired. Getting to fly alongside these beloved characters? That’s the stuff of dreams, folks!
But wait, there’s more at Hollywood Studios! Who else has a kid obsessed with Monsters, Inc.? Well, get ready, because an entire land dedicated to these lovable monsters is coming our way! With a suspended coaster that’ll take you through the door vault (I’ve been dreaming about this since I first saw the movie!), it’s going to be a scream – pun intended!
Disneyland
Over at Disneyland, things are getting equally exciting. The new “Coco” ride at California Adventure is going to be a hit with our music-loving kiddos. And for all you Marvel fans out there (I know I’m not the only dad who’s secretly more excited than the kids), Avengers Campus is doubling in size with two new attractions. Suit up, recruits!
But here’s the part that really got me: the Walt Disney Audio-Animatronics figure coming to Disneyland. As parents, we’re always trying to share a bit of history with our kids, right? Well, imagine being able to show them Walt Disney himself, talking about his dreams and ideas. It’s going to be an incredible way to connect our kids with the magic that started it all.
Disney Cruise Line
And let’s not forget about Disney Cruise Line. Four new ships joining the fleet? That means more options for family vacations, more destinations to explore, and more chances to make memories together. Plus, with new shows like “Disney Hercules” and “Disney The Tale of Moana” coming to the ships, we’re talking about entertainment that’ll keep both parents and kids happy.
As a dad, what excites me most about all these changes is how they cater to different ages and interests. Whether your boys are into high-speed adventures, magical stories, or learning about history and technology, there’s something for everyone. These new additions mean we can keep coming back to Disney as our kids grow, always finding something new and exciting.
So, fellow parents, start planning those trips! Whether it’s a day at the parks or a week-long cruise, Disney’s future is looking bright for families like ours. Get ready for some serious bonding time, a whole lot of fun, and memories that’ll last a lifetime. See you in the parks!
